Newsletter graphic: Anansesem
I designned this graphic for Anansesem's (a Caribbean children's literature online magazine) holiday message sent out to its newsletter subscribers. The graphic exudes a Caribbean sensibility and subtly plays with the idea of unraveling Eurocentric images and ideals of Christmas.

Social media visual messages: Anansesem
I designed this series of visual messages for Anansesem, a Caribbean children's literature ezine, to use on its social media pages. The visual messages incorporate culturally recognizable images of Caribbean children while promoting the ezine's values/sensibility and/or calls-for-action.
Kamishiabai workshop flyer
I designed these flyers for web advertising of my own kamishibai workshops for children. Kamishibai is a traditional Japanese storytelling art form and the flyer design includes cultural details such as Japanese lanterns and Japanese ume flowers. I am a Pisces which is why I included the detail of two fish swimming in the same direction. Did you know that in older zodiacs, the Pisces fish were actually depicted swimming in the same direction? This symbolizes that Pisces have the ability to align their dual nature and listen to their strong inner intuition.
Editing, website branding & copy-writing of online magazine
As Editor-in-Chief and Webmaster of Anansesem, and online Caribbean children's literature magzine, I've written copy, announcements/press releases and interview scripts, and edited and proofread contributor content.
I also designed the ezine's look and branding including its logo, flyers, business card and letterhead. ##
